An Ode to Book Reviews

I gave it away
for review's sake
yet no reviews do I see
sales graph like a cadaver

This morning this little ditty came to me when I checked my Amazon book page, a task I do almost every day with the same outcome.
Last week I set up a five-day free giveaway of my ebook with the simple request that anyone downloading the ebook leave a review. Well, so far only one person out of the sixteen who downloaded the book has written a review.
Sometimes the best antidote for disappointment is writing a jab at the source of the frustration. Not the people, mind you, but at the frustration that I don't know how to fix what seems to be wrong without help.
